Accounting Assistant / Bookkeeper

We have an immediate opening for an accounting assistant/bookkeeper to join our team.

Your Role at InLyne:
- You’ll be the go-to person for recording and categorizing financial transactions in Quickbooks Online, reconciling bank accounts, managing A/R and A/P systems, preparing financial statements, and handling other client-related tasks.
- As a fast-growing start-up, you’ll also have the opportunity to help develop and refine our internal procedures, allowing you to be a part of shaping the future of InLyne.
- You’ll also provide essential administrative support to InLyne’s department head to ensure everything behind the scenes runs like clockwork.
Specific Job Responsibilities:
- Categorize and record financial transactions in QuickBooks Online;
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards, troubleshooting any errors;
- Request documentation and information from clients and ensure consistent documentation;
- Review and code receipts, invoices, and bills;
- Maintain accurate records and information about each client;
- Process invoices, receipts, and payments accurately and on time;
- Handle general admin tasks related to the bookkeeping team;
- Maintain confidentiality of client information and handle all necessary sensitive data; and,
- Identify inefficiencies in bookkeeping processes and implement solutions to streamline workflows, reduce errors, and optimize productivity.

Requirements:
- Experience: You have professional experience that demonstrates that you are meticulous and conscientious, and great at being part of a team. Accounting experience is preferred but not required.
- Tech: You’ll be able to demonstrate your fluency with technology. You’ll be working heavily with QuickBooks Online and MS Office products, as well as tools including Slack, Asana, Drive, and Dropbox. As a start-up, we are also constantly integrating new technology in our workflows.
- Mindset: You’re organized, communicative, and a problem solver ready to jump in and make an impact.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or an explanation why your educational or professional background is what we need most!
- Experience with financial analysis and forecasting.

Type of Position: Full-time / non-exempt
Position Pay: Starting pay is $18-25 per hour, plus automatic 3% 401k contributions. You will also be eligible to earn another 7% of incentive comp based on the performance of the company.

Additional Details: This position may require occasional overtime and weekend work during peak periods.
